Dimensions of Recovery Support Services

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) defines recovery as a process of change through which individuals improve their health and wellness, live self-directed lives, and strive to reach their full potential.

Recovery is built on access to evidence-based clinical treatment and recovery support services for all populations.

We have compiled an extensive list of recovery services and resources to help in any way we can along the road to recovery.

Resources provides across all dimensions is what builds recovery capital and protective factors in one's life. SAMSHA defines each dimension as follows.

Health - Involves overcoming or managing illnesses and making informed, healthy choices that support both physical and emotional well-being. It includes accessing medical care and developing healthy routines. (To see available resources in our community please click the link below for Health Resources).

Home - A stable and safe place to live that serves as a foundation for recovery. A secure environment is essential for peace of mind and stability. (To see available resources in our community please click the link below for Home Resources).

Community - Building relationships and social networks that offer support, friendship, love, and hope. This dimension helps individuals reconnect with society and reduce isolation. (To see available resources in our community please click the link below for Community Resources).

Purpose - Conducting meaningful daily activities - such as working, going to school, volunteering, or caring for family - that provides independence, income, and a reason to look forward to each day. (To see available resources in our community please click the link below for Purpose Resources).
